இந்தியாவின் மேம்பட்ட கடல் ஆராய்ச்சிக் கப்பலான ORV Sagar Manthan-ஐ மத்திய அமைச்சர் டாக்டர் ஜிதேந்திர சிங் கொல்கத்தாவில் உள்ள Rishi Bankim Shipyard-ல் அறிமுகப்படுத்தினார். இந்தக் கப்பலை புவி அறிவியல் அமைச்சகத்தின் கீழ் செயல்படும் தேசிய துருவ மற்றும் கடல் ஆராய்ச்சி மையத்திற்காக Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Limited வடிவமைத்து கட்டியுள்ளது.

Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh launched India's advanced Ocean Research Vessel, ORV Sagar Manthan, at the Rishi Bankim Shipyard in Kolkata. The vessel was designed, engineered and constructed by Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Limited for the National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research under the Ministry of Earth Sciences.
