BioE3 முயற்சியின் கீழ் Polylactic Acid அடிப்படையிலான உயிரி சார்ந்த மக்கும் பிளாஸ்டிக்கின் வணிகப் பயன்பாட்டை மத்திய அறிவியல் மற்றும் தொழில்நுட்பத் துறை அமைச்சர் டாக்டர் ஜிதேந்திர சிங் அதிகாரப்பூர்வமாக தொடங்கி வைத்தார். Balrampur Chini Mills அமைக்கும் ஆண்டுக்கு 100 டன் திறன் கொண்ட PLA மற்றும் co-polymers pilot facility-க்கு ₹75 கோடி BioE3 நிதியுதவி வழங்கப்படுகிறது.

Union Science and Technology Minister Dr Jitendra Singh formally launched the commercial use of bio-based biodegradable plastic based on Polylactic Acid under the BioE3 initiative. A ₹75 crore BioE3 grant supports a 100 tonnes-per-annum pilot facility for PLA and co-polymers by Balrampur Chini Mills.
