அந்தமான் கடலில் உள்ள Sewell Rise-01 மற்றும் West Sewell Ridge-01 ஆகிய 2 offshore mineral blocks-க்கு Composite Licence வழங்குவதற்கான ஏலத்தை சுரங்க அமைச்சகம் தொடங்கியது. இரண்டும் சேர்த்து 1,632 சதுர கி.மீ.-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட பரப்பைக் கொண்டுள்ளன. Summary (English)
The Ministry of Mines launched the auction of Sewell Rise-01 and West Sewell Ridge-01 offshore mineral blocks in the Andaman Sea for Composite Licences. Together they cover more than 1,632 square kilometres and contain polymetallic nodules and crusts associated with cobalt, nickel, manganese, copper and rare earth elements.
